LPC Supervision

Supervision is an important part of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and having a supervisor you trust makes the process a growing one. It serves as a time to learn, grow and gain insight into oneself as a therapist.

Both Michael and Tiffany are Board approved supervisors for those seeking to gain their LPC. Because of their diverse professional backgrounds in the field of mental health they can speak to many of the challenges a new therapist will face. They believe their role as a supervisor is to help their supervisees:

  • Understand and define their role as a therapist
  • Recognize their countertransference and how to manage it
  • Refine their working theory and practice of counseling
  • Learn and practice within the Board’s governing rules

Here are what previous supervisees have said about their time with Michael & Tiffany.

“Tiffany was such a great supervisor.  From the first time I met with Tiffany, I thought “This woman knows what she is doing.” She is so knowledgeable and has such valuable experience and wisdom to share.  Tiffany supported me and provided a new perspective and insight as I wrestled with challenging cases. When I identified some of my professional weaknesses, fears, and points of counter-transference, Tiffany challenged me to work through those things and helped me grow into a stronger therapist. Tiffany has such a high level of integrity and is so caring about me as an individual, that I always felt safe being completely transparent with her about both my personal and professional struggles. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to learn from her!”  – Lauren

“I loved having a supervisor that did not work at the same employer, it was great having an outside perspective and support. Tiffany was always helpful in providing feedback for alternate ways I could have approached a clinical situation and helped me grow so much as a counselor! I would highly recommend her!” – Cathleen

“I learned more in my time working under Tiffany’s supervision than I would have ever dreamed!  Our work together shaped the way that I work with clients in my counseling practice, and was a tremendous asset in helping me to launch my career as an LPC.”
